George Ferguson
George Ferguson is an architect, writer, broadcaster and entrepreneur, who recently co-presented the ‘Demolition’ series on Channel Four, inspired by his call for an X-List of Britain’s worst buildings. A past-President of the Royal Institute of British Architects [RIBA], his award-winning Acanthus Ferguson Mann partnership, founded in 1976, is one of Britain’s leading architectural practices. He is the owner and creator of the Tobacco Factory in Bristol, a rescued former Imperial Tobacco building, which has become a nationally-renowned creative hub, including a theatre, restaurant, bar, and creative industry workspace. He is committed to good design that conserves and enhances historic buildings and environments. His interests in Who’s Who are, 'travel, people, ideas, challenging authority, making things happen.'
